Mitsutoshi Nakayama established "RE.ACT LEATHER WORKS" after gaining experience in planning and sales for apparel brands. The name "RE.ACT" embodies the idea of "reacting to stimuli," reflecting his desire to incorporate the inspiration he draws from travel, vintage items like old clothing, and various cultures into his craftsmanship.
"RE.ACT" leather items are made from carefully selected domestic and international materials, such as "Aizome (indigo-dyed) leather," which uses domestically produced vegetable-tanned leather (tanned leather processed to be easily dyed) colored with natural Yamato indigo. Furthermore, the products are crafted daily in a domestic Japanese factory established in 1974, utilizing manufacturing methods, expertise, and a dedication to quality that have been cultivated since its founding, ensuring items that can be enjoyed for years to come.
