Masaaki Watanabe of Watanabe Studio is a watch maker who creates watches one by one by hand in his studio located in downtown Tokyo. He creates many watches that are full of the deep expression and warmth that can only be achieved through handcrafting.

Watanabe handcrafts everything from making the watch parts such as the case, dial, and strap to assembling them.

Introducing a new accessory series that uses mechanical watch movements!
You can feel the beauty and movement of the gears.

A simple brooch using a hand-wound watch movement.Available in silver and gold.

Silver

gold

*Metal fittings may vary.

When viewed from the side, you can see the overlapping, three-dimensional gears, which you can't see on a wristwatch.

Enjoy the beautiful and artistic expression of the movement...
Watanabe Kobo has released a brooch that uses the movement of a mechanical wristwatch directly.

The movement is the heart of the watch, the central part that keeps time. Its movements are delicate yet precise.

This watch does not have a winding crown, so it will not move, but the part that acts as the pendulum, called the "balance," is not fixed, so it can spin around.

Not only does it have a sophisticated look, but you can also enjoy the feel of the gear.

Use it as an accent on your collar, bag, or hat.
Can be used by both men and women.
The simple yet elegant design is perfect for casual office wear.

Easy to incorporate into your daily life, with a unique design that will make you want to casually talk about it

Also makes a great gift for someone special.

When your outfit feels a little dull, a brooch is the perfect accent piece.
Even when worn as an accessory with a casual suit, it creates a simple and sophisticated look.

The round shape and subtle shine of the gold and silver give it a jewelry feel. The complex-looking gear also has an artistic feel.

The roots of the hand-wound movement are said to be in pocket watches from the 17th and 18th centuries. We now live in an age where we can check the time digitally, but why not take a peek inside the low-tech movements created by people in ancient times and get a sense of their history?

We also recommend couples or spouses to wear different colours as a pair.
The design is easy to use for people of all ages and genders, making it a perfect gift.

Not only for yourself, but also as a gift for birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations, Valentine's Day, White Day, Christmas, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Respect for the Aged Day, job offers, retirement gifts, or for watch lovers.

These are movements that can no longer be used during watch repairs or production, and are sold at low prices. Therefore, some parts and differences in the color of parts depending on the lot may differ from the image. There may also be individual differences in the movement of the balance and gears. Please note this in advance.

Please be careful as hair, clothing fibers, strings, etc. may get caught in the gears.
