SAIFUKU, the brand, is produced by Saifuku Co., Ltd., a company that has been manufacturing knitwear exclusively in Gosen City, Niigata Prefecture, since 1963. Gosen City, blessed with abundant high-quality water, flourished as a silk weaving center from the mid-Edo period and developed into a major hub for the knit industry after the war. The company uses its name as a brand, continually refining its knitmaking techniques and ideas along with the expertise passed down through generations in the region.

The "226 (Tsutsumu)" series, with its concept of "enveloping people and life with knits for comfortable and humorous everyday living," is a collection of knit items designed to playfully "wrap" not only the body but also everyday objects.
