Garage, a gauze clothing workshop in Kyoto, started with the desire to create things, love clothes, and build things from scratch with one's own hands. The husband and wife team, Tatsuya and Yoko Nakanishi, consistently handle everything from design, pattern making, sewing, and dyeing.

One of the characteristics of Garage's clothing production is the bias cut (diagonal cut) of double gauze fabric. Usually, fabric for clothing is used according to the warp and weft of the weave, but by using a bias cut, elasticity is created in both the vertical and horizontal directions.

In a simple design, ingenuity is put into making the most of the characteristics and texture of double gauze.

Introducing a blouse made from single gauze by Garage, who develops original clothing using gauze material.

It features a clean, feminine line and a moderate length, so you can wear it tucked into bottoms or skirts. Since the fabric is sheer, you can wear an inner layer such as a camisole or tank top underneath to enjoy various coordinating styles.

It pairs well with casual bottoms, and looks cute when combined with linen pants or skirts, or by wearing a plant-dyed stole. You can enjoy the natural texture by combining it with various items.

Gauze is an excellent fabric with moderate breathability and heat retention, making it suitable for all seasons. It has been used for baby clothes since ancient times and is one of the softest fabrics to the touch.

A characteristic of Garage's gauze clothes is the use of single gauze fabric cut on the bias (diagonally). While bias cutting is not efficient in terms of fabric usage, it creates excellent elasticity in both vertical and horizontal directions, allowing the garment to gradually conform to the wearer's body shape over time.

You can choose from a wide variety of colors. We recommend choosing colors according to the season, such as pastel shades for spring and earth tones for autumn. (Click on the color chart to enlarge)

This product is generally made to order and may take approximately 3 weeks to 2 months depending on the order status. (If it takes longer than that, we will inform you of the new delivery date separately.)

Garage's gauze garments are product-dyed (dyed after sewing) one by one. Therefore, the dye color may vary slightly between individual products.
