After working in planning and sales at an apparel brand, Mitsutoshi Nakayama became independent and launched "RE.ACT LEATHER WORKS." The brand name "RE.ACT" has the meaning of "reacting to stimulation" and is based on Nakayama's desire to reflect the stimulation he has received from travel, vintage items such as second-hand clothes, and culture in his manufacturing. It is named.

The "Re-ACT" series uses carefully selected materials from Japan and abroad, such as chrome Excel leather from a long-established American store, artistic shoulder leather with a waxed silver surface from Italy, and domestic pig suede. In addition, at our factory in Japan, which was founded in 1974, we utilize the manufacturing methods, know-how, and manufacturing spirit that we have accumulated since our founding to create leather items that can be used for a long time every day.

Made using the DriTan™ process, which does not require large amounts of water, developed by ECCO® LLEATHER, a company that has received a GOLD rating from LWG (LEATHER WORKING GROUP) and is committed to developing a sustainable leather tanning process. It is leather, and it is environmentally friendly leather. Normally, a lot of water is used in the production of leather, but ECCO® LLEATHER's DriTan™ manufacturing method utilizes the water originally contained in the raw hide.
Leather made using this method maintains a quality, texture, and durability that is comparable to leather made using traditional processes, and at the same time, it does not require large amounts of water, which eliminates wastewater and chemicals. We have also succeeded in reducing usage to a minimum.

At first glance, it looks like an elegant leather, but it has some wildness that is typical of genuine leather, so it is recommended for those who want to own beautiful leather items.

- Since natural leather is used, the surface of the leather may have animal-specific ecological scratches, wrinkles, and blood vessel marks (blood streaks). Also, even when dyed with the same dye, there will be individual differences in color tone. If used while wet, it may cause discoloration, color transfer, or mold. Please understand that this is a characteristic of natural leather and its individuality.

-Leather material is sensitive to rain and sweat, so if it gets wet, please dry it thoroughly naturally.If you use it while it is wet, it may cause discoloration, color transfer, or mold. Remove the contents and dry thoroughly in a well-ventilated place. After drying, the oil from the leather will be removed, so apply a thin layer of colorless oil such as mink oil after drying.

- Scratches caused by use can be made less noticeable by gently rubbing them with your fingertips. As you use it, the surface becomes glossy and scratches become less noticeable.
