Garage, a gauze clothing workshop in Kyoto, started with the idea of "loving making things, loving clothes, and loving creating things from scratch." Tatsuya and Yoko Nakanishi, a husband and wife duo, handle everything from design, pattern making, sewing, and dyeing.

One of the characteristics of Garage's clothing production is the bias-cut (diagonal-cut) double gauze fabric. Usually, garment fabric is used according to the warp and weft of the weave, but by using it on the bias, elasticity is created in both directions.

Within the simple design, ingenuity is incorporated to fully utilize the characteristics and texture of the double gauze.

"Do as much as we can with our own hands"—Garage's gauze clothing, overflowing with such passion for craftsmanship, makes the wearer feel gentle and calm.

This is an original T-shirt design by Garage, featuring fluffy gauze tape on the chest.
The natural wrinkles, as if freshly washed, are also a distinctive feature of Garage, creating a relaxed look.

While being unpretentiously simple, the gentle atmosphere of the gauze material combined with a touch of loveliness results in an item that exudes a wonderful aura.

Made from 100% natural cotton gauze fabric, it offers excellent absorbency and lightness. Its pleasant feel and the way it softens with each wash, becoming more familiar to the skin, are also appealing.

This long-sleeved T-shirt also provides sun protection. Its light feel makes it suitable for all seasons.

The appropriate sheerness of the double gauze gives it a cool appearance!

With its solid material, this item can be worn as an inner layer or on its own. The length is not too long, allowing it to be worn balanced with both skirts and pants.

Instead of discarding "scraps" generated during cutting, they are processed and incorporated into the design as much as possible.

The appropriate sheerness of double gauze. It has a refreshing feel.

At Garage, a lot of fabric scraps are generated because bias cutting is used extensively. To avoid wasting these scraps, they are incorporated into the design of the neckline and ruffles.

You can wear it cutely with a timeless, simple design that you can love for a long time.

It makes a great gift for yourself or as a present for birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day, Respect for the Aged Day, White Day, Christmas, and other occasions.

Gauze is an excellent fabric with appropriate breathability and heat retention, making it suitable for all seasons. It has long been used for baby clothes and is one of the softest fabrics against the skin.

A distinctive feature of Garage's gauze clothing is that this single gauze fabric is cut on the bias (diagonally).

While bias cutting is not efficient in terms of fabric usage, it creates excellent elasticity in both vertical and horizontal directions, allowing the garment to gradually fit the wearer's body shape over time.
