"SAIFUKU" is a brand that creates knit items inspired by the nature and life of snow country Niigata, with the concept of "snow country knit". The beauty of Niigata's nature is the starting point of the design, and the wisdom that is born in the harsh snow country is embodied in knitwear.

"SAIFUKU" is made by Saifuku, a knitwear manufacturer based in Gosen City, Niigata Prefecture, which has been producing products since 1963. Gosen City is blessed with abundant, high-quality water and has flourished as a silk textile production area since the mid-Edo period, and after the war developed into a major center for the knitwear industry. Using the company name as a brand, they continue to hone their knitwear techniques and ideas, along with the know-how that has been passed down in the production area.

"Mino" is a series that mainly features ponchos, inspired by the "mino" raincoat that has been worn in the winter in snowy regions. "Mino" ponchos come in a wide variety of styles, including wrap-around and pull-over styles, as well as styles that can be worn around the neck and reversible. The materials used include wool, cotton, linen, washi paper, and mohair. By taking advantage of the characteristics of the yarns of various materials, you can experience the infinite charm and possibilities of knitwear through combinations, knitting methods, and patterns.

We offer knitted items that allow you to experience Niigata's four seasons: spring, when the fields and flowers bloom as the snow melts, summer, when the Echigo Plain is filled with lush rural scenery, autumn, when you can enjoy the autumn leaves and harvest, and winter, when snow falls steadily.
