Garage is a gauze clothing workshop in Kyoto that was started with a love of crafting, a love of clothes, and a love of making things from scratch. The husband and wife team of Nakanishi Tatsuya and Yoko are in charge of everything from design, pattern making, sewing, and dyeing.

One of the characteristics of Garage's clothing is the bias use of double gauze fabric. Normally, clothing fabric is woven vertically and horizontally, but bias use creates stretchability in both directions. The simple design is packed with ingenuity that makes full use of the characteristics and texture of double gauze.

"We do as much as we can with our own hands" - Garage's gauze clothing, filled with this passion for craftsmanship, makes the wearer feel gentle and calm.

Using bias stitching does not make the fabric more efficient, but it creates excellent elasticity in both the vertical and horizontal directions, and the fabric will gradually change to fit your body shape as you wear it.

The puff sleeves gently wrap around your upper arms, the longer back obscures the hip line, and the design conceals your body shape, making it comfortable to wear.

The natural wrinkled look, as if it had just been washed, is a look unique to garage and creates a relaxed feel.

100% natural cotton gauze fabric that is absorbent and lightweight. It feels good on the skin, and the more you wash it, the softer it gets. It also feels good on the skin.
