Waji Co., Ltd., founded in January 2016, is a group of professional manufacturers that brings together experienced craftsmen and young designers. It started when Yuki Kanno, the representative who loves "antique doors," met Rui Sekine, who came from a "glass processing factory."

Under the brand concept of havito's "unexpected manufacturing," Kanno and Sekine established the "glart" series, a fusion of real glass and leather, which they had long wanted to materialize.

The lineup includes items that are easy for daily use as "portable art objects."

glart is a coined word combining glass and art.
As the name suggests, its concept is to incorporate the beauty of glass shining in the light and artistic designs into daily life.
Born from this brand is a genuine leather system planner cover featuring a design reminiscent of antique European doors. The stained glass window, like those on a door, adds color and story to your everyday life.

The number of parts and manufacturing steps are more than double compared to similar products. The sewing machine was even modified specifically to produce this series. Sewing glass and leather requires advanced techniques that only a limited number of waji craftsmen can master.

The leather used is vegetable-tanned and chrome-tanned cowhide.

Each piece is meticulously finished by craftsmen who carefully apply wax used for equestrian equipment. The appeal lies in the handmade unevenness and natural characteristics of the leather (such as blood vessels, wrinkles, and moles), giving it a unique firmness. Of course, the leather also ages beautifully over time.

The glass was co-developed with "Tomi Glass," a long-established glass manufacturer in downtown Tokyo.

It is lightweight and durable tempered glass, and its development took two years. The glass used undergoes special processing at a factory that processes car headlights, ensuring safety and strength.
