Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten was founded in 1716, the first year of the Kyoho era, as a wholesaler of "Nara-sarashi," a high-grade linen textile, in Nara Prefecture. For over 300 years, successive owners have continued to craft products that resonate with the lifestyles of their respective eras. Currently, with the vision of "revitalizing Japanese crafts!", the company collaborates with artisans nationwide to deliver practical "lifestyle tools" that add color to modern living.

Among their representative masterpieces are the "Hana Fukin" and "Kayaori Fukin." These dishcloths were created by focusing on the functionality of mosquito net fabric (kaya), a specialty of Nara, and boast excellent absorbency and quick-drying properties. Meticulously sewn by layering multiple sheets of fabric, they are very durable and long-lasting, becoming softer and more familiar to the hand with each use. In 2008, their design and practicality were highly acclaimed, earning them the Good Design Award's "Gold Award."

The wide variety of patterns that make daily chores enjoyable and designs tailored to seasonal arrangements are also a major attraction. Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten's dishcloths, filled with traditional Japanese craftsmanship and the wisdom of our ancestors, are a long-loved staple for daily life, richly adorning everyday kitchens and dining tables.

Despite being thin, it is durable, highly absorbent, and dries quickly. It becomes wonderfully soft with each wash, naturally blending into your daily chores.

Before you know it, you'll always reach for this one. It's a dishcloth that fits perfectly into your life.
