Chrome Excel is an oil leather manufactured by Horween, and is a world-famous leather used not only in boots and shoes from famous brands, but also in many bags, wallets, belts, etc.

The raw hide is tanned slowly using a method developed about 100 years ago, and then blended with four or more types of oils and fats, including beef tallow, beeswax, vegetable fats, and fish oil.
This is pull-up leather that has been coated with a special oil that has been thoroughly absorbed into the leather.

The leather is finished by slowly soaking it in oil over a period of several times longer than usual, resulting in a high oil content, and the unique texture and weightiness, as well as the appealing flavor that can only be achieved with brown-core leather.
