Garage, a gauze clothing studio in Kyoto, began with a love for crafting, a love for clothing, and a desire to create things from scratch with their own hands. Tatsuya and Yoko Nakanishi, a husband and wife team, handle everything from design and pattern making to sewing and dyeing.
The gauze clothing from Garage, born from their passion for manufacturing and their philosophy of "doing as much as we can with our own hands," gently and calmly embraces the wearer.

The fluffy double gauze fabric is so soft and light, you'll want to wear it every day!

Double gauze is an excellent fabric with moderate breathability and heat retention, making it suitable for all seasons. It has long been used for baby clothes and is one of the softest fabrics to the touch.

A distinctive feature of Garage's gauze clothing is that the double gauze fabric is cut on the bias (diagonally).
While cutting on the bias is not efficient in terms of fabric usage, it creates excellent stretch both vertically and horizontally, allowing the garment to gradually conform to the wearer's body shape. It is even sometimes referred to as "healing clothing."

The frilled neckline and cuffs, carefully sewn while utilizing the cut edges, are key features of this T-shirt.

The diagonally intersecting bias-cut fabric creates distinct areas that look like a faint, large check pattern, giving this T-shirt a subtle sense of style and attention to detail within its simplicity.
