Garage, a gauze clothing workshop in Kyoto, started with the desire to make things, to love clothes, and to create something from scratch with their own hands. Tatsuya and Yoko Nakanishi, a husband and wife team, handle everything from design, pattern, sewing, to dyeing.

One of the characteristics of Garage's clothing production is the use of double gauze fabric on the bias (diagonally). Normally, fabric for clothing is used according to the warp and weft of the weave, but using it on the bias creates stretch in both the vertical and horizontal directions.

Simple designs are infused with ingenuity that fully utilizes the characteristics and texture of double gauze.

Double gauze 2-way gaucho pants that combine relaxation and style

These are incredibly comfortable gaucho pants with a slightly shorter, knee-length silhouette that can be worn lightly with a cute, skirt-like feel. They also offer excellent freedom of movement.

They are breathable, comfortable to wear in any season, and feature an elastic waistband that gently accommodates changes in body shape.
They are a versatile piece that can be relied on for both relaxing at home and going out.

The natural wrinkles, like unwashed fabric, are also a unique characteristic of Garage. Wrinkles are less noticeable and create a relaxed look.

While maintaining an unpretentious simplicity, the gentle feel of the gauze material and a touch of loveliness combine to create an item with a wonderful atmosphere. Made from 100% natural cotton gauze fabric, it offers excellent absorbency, lightness, and a pleasant texture. Its soft feel and the way it becomes softer with each wash, conforming to your skin, are also appealing.

With a relaxed fit, they can be worn cool and light as a single layer in spring and summer.
In hot weather, gauze is comfortable as it absorbs and wicks away sweat. In autumn and winter, they are also perfect for relaxed loungewear when paired with tights.

Since it's double gauze, there's no need to worry about transparency, but if you're concerned or choose a lighter color, we recommend wearing tights or leggings.

These are simple gaucho pants with an elastic waistband, no pockets, and no lining.

In warm weather, wearing them barefoot is very cool, light, and comfortable.

Gauze is an excellent fabric that can be worn all year round, with moderate breathability and heat retention. It has been used for baby clothes for a long time and is one of the softest fabrics on the skin.

Garage's gauze clothing is characterized by the use of single gauze fabric cut on the bias (diagonally).

While bias cutting is not efficient in terms of fabric usage, it creates excellent stretch in both the vertical and horizontal directions, allowing the garment to gradually conform to the wearer's body shape over time.
