DEDEGUMO is a brand that has been making handmade watches based in Kyoto since 1992. In a workshop built in a traditional townhouse in Gion Shirakawa, where you can feel the historical atmosphere of Kyoto, they continue to challenge themselves to make watches with designs that are as free and innovative as clouds, without being bound by preconceived notions of watches.

One of the characteristics of DEDEGUMO watches is their emphasis on design. In addition to watches with a traditional Kyoto design, they also cooperate with outside creators through watch design contests to create unique designs not found in other brands.

Another feature of DEDEGUMO watches is the pursuit of reliable quality. The movements of the watches are made in Japan. While many handmade watches are not waterproof, these watches are waterproof (with some exceptions) and have an anti-corrosion coating. In addition, craftsmen with watch repair qualifications check the quality with a strict eye, and the watches are made to be used for a long time.

In recent years, we have been introducing digital technology and are continuing to challenge ourselves to create delicate designs that were previously impossible to achieve by hand. Since 2020, we have been designing watch parts using CAD (Computer-aided design), and creating prototypes for casting using 3D printers. The final finishing is done by hand by craftsmen one by one.
