Kobo Orizu is a workshop that creates original stoles and scarves using traditional looms. The shop is located in a quiet, naturally beautiful area deep in the mountains of Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture, which faces the Seto Inland Sea.

Masatoshi Takeda, the representative leading the Kobo Oiza workshop, is an engineer who used to be the factory manager of a towel manufacturer. Amidst the declining towel industry year after year, he is creating comfortable fashion products one after another using the old-fashioned looms at Kobo Oiza.

Because it's woven in a tubular shape, it has a gentle feel that doesn't have the stiffness of seams.

A wool-blend version of the "cotton cap," which allows you to freely change its shape and color.

This product uses a type of weave called "multiple twill weave." "Twill weave" is a type of fabric with a diagonal pattern that is created by continuously raising and lowering two or more warp or weft threads. (This is a common weaving method used in jeans, for example.)

Creating a knot in the twill weave structure and weaving two or more pieces of fabric simultaneously as a single piece results in a "multi-layered twill weave." It is characterized by being softer and having more volume compared to a single twill weave.
