AramaRoots is a silver accessory brand created by Kyoto-based artist Shiyo Kato. Since establishing her workshop, Kato has held "creating treasures for someone" as her concept, crafting each piece with the user's smile in mind.

"Arama" means "my soul" in the language of the indigenous Ainu people. Kato's works are imbued with a spiritual sensibility, cultivated from her birthplace in Izumo, "the land of the gods," and her upbringing in Kyoto's Nishiyama region, home of the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter legend. Her diverse style features pieces inspired by nature, those incorporating ingenious mechanisms, designs with Kyo-Yuzen patterns, and those combining different materials such as habu snake skin.
