Kobo Oriza's old-fashioned looms are the innovation behind their comfortable fashion products, loved by people of all ages.

Among their unique offerings is the "Yuragi-ori" muffler, featuring a soft, undulating design. This weaving technique has earned them the "Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award at the 3rd Monozukuri Nippon Grand Award."

Items created with traditional techniques blend seamlessly into modern fashion. Just as threads intertwine, so do people and tradition... The products created by Kobo Oriza seem to be a bridge connecting the past and the present.

This muffler features a tricolor scheme of similar tones, accented by a subtle, undulating pattern.

At first glance, it may appear to be a coarse yet delicate fabric.
However, rest assured. This fabric employs a technique called "Mojiri-ori," where the warp threads firmly tighten the weft threads during weaving. This creates a durable weave that is resistant to shifting, even with a loose texture.

As a result, it has a delicate appearance yet is highly durable, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful undulating pattern for a long time without it losing its shape.

The ends of the fabric are carefully hand-knotted by artisans.

This muffler is woven on a "Toyota Y-type" loom manufactured approximately 110 years ago.
Rather than using the loom as is, various parts have been modified, transforming it into a "new loom" that weaves with the original "Tate-yoroke Mojiri-ori" technique.
