garage is a gauze clothing workshop in Kyoto that started with the desire to create things, a love for clothes, and the joy of creating something from scratch with their own hands. Tatsuya and Yoko Nakanishi handle everything from design and pattern making to sewing and dyeing.

One of the characteristics of garage's clothing is the bias cut (diagonal cut) of the double gauze fabric. While it is common to use fabric according to the warp and weft of the weave, using a bias cut creates elasticity in both directions.

In a simple design, there are many ingenious ways to fully utilize the characteristics and texture of double gauze.

With a slightly shorter silhouette below the knee, these very comfortable gaucho pants can be worn airily with a cute, skirt-like feel. They also offer excellent freedom of movement.

A distinctive feature of garage's gauze clothing is that it uses single-gauze fabric cut on the bias (diagonally).

While a bias cut is not efficient in terms of fabric usage, it creates excellent stretch in both directions, allowing the garment to gradually conform to the wearer's body shape over time.
