Koryo-cho in Nara Prefecture is known as the "town of socks," accounting for about 40% of the socks produced in Japan. In recent years, the proportion of socks imported from overseas has been increasing in the sock industry. Feeling a sense of crisis about this situation, volunteers from textile-related companies in Koryo-cho established the brand "ORGANIC GARDEN" in 1994. As the brand name suggests, Organic Garden's items are primarily made from organic cotton. Organic cotton is cotton that is grown on land that has not been sprayed with chemical fertilizers or pesticides for over three years, and has not been subjected to any chemical processing such as bleaching or shrinkage prevention. As it does not contain chemical substances, it is gentle on the skin and feels softer than chemically treated cotton. |

A deep blue color that tightens up your feet. Introducing indigo-dyed socks from Organic Garden! Indigo dyeing, which has been popular in Japan for a long time, is said to have various medicinal uses, such as for rough skin, poor circulation, insect repellent, and antibacterial properties. These socks have no elastic at the opening. They are knitted with elastic yarn throughout, so you can experience a natural fit without worrying about them slipping. They also improve poor circulation due to tightness, making them an excellent item for preventing the cold. The calming colors and soft comfort are soothing... They are also perfect as room socks to wear at home. |

A basic length that is easy to incorporate into your daily style. The fabric is high gauge (finely knitted) for an elegant look. The curled part is a cute accent, making your feet look stylish and not too simple. The indigo dye used on these socks is made using a method called "natural lye fermentation," which is said to be the oldest type of indigo dyeing. A dyeing material called "sukumo" is made by fermenting indigo extracted from the Japanese knotweed, a plant native to Japan. "Lyme" and "bran" are added to this to promote natural fermentation and dye the fabric. A special pair of shoes made with a lot of time and effort. Also recommended as a gift for someone who has been kind to you. |
