Garage, a gauze clothing workshop in Kyoto, started because its founders loved making things, loved clothes, and loved creating things from scratch with their own hands. From design and patterns to sewing and dyeing, Mr. and Mrs. Tatsuya and Yoko Nakanishi handle everything consistently.
Their gauze clothing, imbued with the spirit of "doing as much as possible with our own hands," brings a gentle and peaceful feeling to those who wear it.

The design features squares of gauze connected like a puzzle with cover stitches!

The color in the photo is charcoal gray.

The raw edges of the gauze (the fringed parts) add a nice touch.
Furthermore, this is a luxurious four-layer gauze fabric, with two layers of double gauze on top of each other.
Because it's four layers, it has a substantial feel and is surprisingly warm, making it perfect for winter! And of course, the soft gauze fabric is incredibly comfortable to wear.

The material has a great texture, so it looks good worn simply on its own. You can also make the most of its simple design by adding accessories like scarves, and it's also great for layering.

Double gauze is an excellent fabric with moderate breathability and heat retention, making it suitable for all seasons. It has been used for baby clothes since ancient times and is one of the softest fabrics to the touch.

A characteristic of Garage's gauze clothing is that this double gauze fabric is cut on the bias (diagonally).
While cutting on the bias is not efficient for fabric use, it creates excellent stretch in both vertical and horizontal directions, allowing the garment to gradually conform to the wearer's body over time. It is even sometimes referred to as "healing" clothing.

The square sections stretch, allowing for a comfortable fit.
Also, as you can see from the fabric at the hem, the four-layer gauze has a substantial feel.

Try pairing it simply with denim or chinos for bottoms!
We also recommend coordinating it with natural materials that complement gauze, such as linen bottoms or botanical-dyed scarves!

You can choose from a wide range of colors. It's fun to choose colors according to the season, such as pastel shades for spring and earth tones for autumn!
