"SAIFUKU" is a brand that creates knit items inspired by the nature and lifestyle of the snowy country of Niigata, with the concept of "snow country knit." The beauty of Niigata's nature is the starting point for their designs, and the wisdom that can only be born in a harsh snowy country is embodied in their knitwear.

"SAIFUKU" is the brand of Saifuku, a knitwear manufacturer based in Gosen City, Niigata Prefecture, which has been producing products exclusively since 1963. Blessed with abundant, high-quality water, Gosen City has flourished as a silk textile production center since the mid-Edo period, and after the war developed into a major center for the knitwear industry. Using the company name as a brand, the company continues to hone its knitwear techniques and ideas, along with the know-how that has been passed down in the production area.

Saifuku's "mino" (Mino) series is inspired by the "mino" raincoat worn in winter in snowy regions, and is centered around ponchos. The "mino" ponchos come in a wide variety of styles, including wrap-around and pull-over styles, as well as styles that can be worn around the neck and are reversible. The materials used include wool, cotton, linen, and washi paper. By utilizing the unique characteristics of various yarn materials, the charm and possibilities of knitwear can be endlessly expanded by combining them, using knitting techniques, and creating patterns.

We offer knit items that allow you to experience the four seasons of Niigata: spring, when fields and flowers bloom as the snow melts, summer, when the Echigo Plain boasts lush rural scenery, autumn, when you can enjoy the autumn leaves and harvest, and winter, when snow falls heavily.

Made from linen, which is highly absorbent and breathable, it has a refreshing feel and is perfect for summer.

The slit is approximately 16cm long. The stretchy knit makes it easy to put on the loose sleeves.

It is thick enough that it does not take up much space even when folded and rolled up.
If you keep it in your bag, it can also be used as a small item to regulate your body temperature.

The parts knitted with one thread are thin and transparent, while the parts knitted with two threads are finer and denser, giving the fabric a deeper color.

When unfolded, it is a 160cm x 70cm shawl-type garment, but can be transformed into a poncho by simply cutting two slits. The simple, single-color striped pattern is created by varying the number of threads.

Material: 89% linen, 11% nylon
It is made with plenty of hemp, a natural material with excellent water absorption and breathability, for a cool feeling. It also contains nylon, which has excellent elasticity, for a comfortable fit.

It can be hand washed at home. The natural wrinkles that appear after washing are unique to linen. You can also enjoy the changing texture.

It is thin and light, weighing only 160g.

We strive to secure stock, but if an item is out of stock, it may take approximately one month for production and delivery. If we need to wait longer than that, we will inform you of the delivery date.

You can hand wash it at home, but please avoid washing it in water as linen tends to shrink when wet and this can cause pilling and changes in the texture. After washing, please reshape it and hang it to dry.

Please note that dark colored items may gradually turn white due to friction during cleaning. Also, please note that colors may fade or transfer if left wet from sweat or rain, or if rubbed while wearing.

Please avoid tumble drying at home.

When ironing, please use a pressing cloth.
