Graphzero, an artisan denim brand from Kojima, Kurashiki
The Kojima area of Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, is the birthplace of domestic jeans and one of the world's leading jeans production areas. Founded here in the spring of 2004, Graph Zero is an up-and-coming denim brand that has been gaining attention for its original jeans, which are hand-dyed and faded in a way that would be unprofitable for major companies.

A popular wartime model jeans jacket with a focus on the 1940s.
It is made of 16oz material and has a stiff feel, with a design and texture that is irresistible for those who love vintage and workwear.

A war model design from the 1940s.
Made from needle-punched herringbone selvedge denim, which is rare for denim.

back

The design is based on the 1940s "War Model 1st Type."
During World War II, the denim jackets worn by workers were simplified to only have four front buttons and no pocket flaps due to material restrictions. Jeans items based on this model have become popular in recent years.

The front features the "action pleats" that are a feature of the 1st and 2nd types.
As workwear of the time, it served to enhance functionality such as ease of movement.

This fabric is an original graphzero selvedge denim made with careful attention paid to not only the cotton used, but also the dyeing process and the detailed settings of the loom. The herringbone warp threads are pulled out at 1cm intervals in an alternating left and right twill weave.

The rugged look of raw denim gives it a vintage feel.
Another attractive feature is the clean silhouette that is not too baggy.

Model: 170cm (male) wearing 40 inch

Side/Back

This first type is considered to be the origin of the G-jean.
The silhouette retains the rustic feel of the post-World War II era and is irresistible to vintage lovers. The thickness and tension of the thread in each section is carefully considered when sewing.

A slightly tapered box silhouette that fits the male body type.
The armholes are also tight, giving the garment an elegant look without being too baggy.

While it has the typical features of a wartime model, such as action pleats, flapless pockets, and a cinch bag on the back, it is made with original Graph Zero parts and has been carefully crafted down to the smallest details.

The small collar, not too pretty, gives it a work-like look.
You can also enjoy the changes in the appearance of the extra thick original tanned leather patch over time.

The distinctive feature of the wartime model is the flapless pocket. The orange label is also a nice touch.

The donut buttons and rivets are all original and highlight the small details.

The back adjuster is unique to the First Type. It uses a needle-type cinch back.

Graph Zero's original selvedge denim features orange stitching lines.

Needle removal is a technique in which the knitting needles of the loom are removed at appropriate intervals, or the needles are replaced with ones that cannot be used for knitting, so that no stitches are formed in those areas, allowing for the creation of unique patterns.

This is a technique that is often applied to rib knitting (elastic knitting) and has an attractive, unique pattern where the areas where the needles are removed appear as white stripes.

Graphzero's selvedge denim is woven on old-fashioned power looms, slowly and carefully with low tension.
This needle-punched herringbone has a very attractive fading effect, with the dotted fading of the right twill and the vertical fading of the left twill alternating. The woven pattern unique to needle-punched herringbone and the whiskers that appear with each wear create an exquisite look.

Furthermore, since it is "raw denim" that has not been subjected to any shrink-proofing processing and is left as it is when woven, it has a rough texture and fuzziness that will become more comfortable with each wear.

This is a carefully crafted piece that we highly recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy vintage details.

Depending on how you wear it, it can become a versatile jacket.
It goes well with both a smart look and a work casual look.

We also recommend sizing up and layering it with a hoodie or other item for a layered look.

The silhouette is not too baggy, giving a touch of elegance even to a work style.

The most attractive thing about denim is the fading of its color. You can enjoy coordinating it with different colors at any time.
The dark indigo goes well with elegant outfits. As the color fades, it becomes more casual and goes well with work and vintage outfits.

The first type with a box silhouette is perfect for accenting your bottoms.

We also recommend choosing a larger size and wearing it oversized.

While there are many jackets on the market based on the third type, choosing the first type of war model will give you a stylish look with a professional feel.
This is a piece that you will want to keep and grow for a long time.

Why not take your everyday fashion to the next level with these Made in Japan jeans items, which have been carefully crafted from the cotton dye to the details?

We have a wide range of sizes available. They can be used by both men and women, so we recommend them as a pair for couples or married couples.
Not only is it great for yourself, but it also makes a great gift for birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Father's Day, Respect for the Aged Day, etc.
