"SAIFUKU" is a brand that creates knit items inspired by the nature and lifestyle of Niigata, a snowy region, under the concept of "snow country knit." The beauty of Niigata's nature is the origin of their designs, and the wisdom born from the harsh snowy climate is embodied in their knitwear.

SAIFUKU is produced by Saifuku Co., Ltd., a knitwear manufacturer that has been crafting products in Gosen City, Niigata Prefecture, since 1963. Gosen City, blessed with abundant high-quality water, flourished as a silk textile production area in the mid-Edo period and developed into a major knitwear industry cluster after the war. The company uses its name as a brand, continually refining its knitmaking techniques and ideas along with the expertise passed down through generations in the region.

"mino" by Saifuku is a series primarily featuring ponchos, inspired by the "mino" (straw cape) used in the snowy country winters. The "mino" ponchos offer a wide variety, including those that are simply draped or pulled over the head, some that can also be wrapped around the neck, and reversible options. Materials include wool, cotton, linen, and Japanese paper. By utilizing the unique characteristics of various material yarns, and through different combinations, knitting methods, and patterns, one can feel the endless charm and potential of knitwear.

We deliver knit items that evoke the four seasons of Niigata: spring with its melting snow and blooming fields and flowers, summer with the vast green rice paddies of the Echigo Plain, autumn enjoying the changing leaves and harvest, and winter with its gently falling snow.

Made from wool that is not itchy. It has a slight sheerness and a light, smooth feel, making it easy to use even in summer.


The length of the slits is approximately 16cm. Since it's made of stretchy knit, it's easy to pass your arms through, even with loose sleeves.


It's thin enough not to be bulky even when folded and rolled up.
Keep it in your bag, and you can quickly use it when it gets chilly.


Knitted with fine yarn, it's thin and smooth. Despite being thin, it's 70% wool, providing just the right amount of warmth.

When unfolded, it's a 160cm x 70cm stole, but with just two slits, it transforms into a poncho.
By putting your arms through the sleeves, it's less likely to slip off.

The material is 70% Australian merino wool and 30% polyester.
Anti-shrink treated wool is used to prevent shrinking during washing.

The polyester-blend fabric is durable and wrinkle-resistant even after washing, making it easy to care for—just put it in a laundry net, machine wash, then reshape and air dry.
Additionally, polyester has low water absorption, so it's excellent at quick-drying.

The plain knit (jersey knit) has moderate stretch, making it easy to move in and comfortably fit into daily life.

Despite its simple design, it offers thoughtfully calculated ease of use, considering materials and washability.

Forest and bronze, newly introduced colors, are sophisticated and deep hues.

It's recommended for personal use, as well as a gift or present for birthdays, anniversaries, White Day, Mother's Day, Respect for the Aged Day, Christmas, and other occasions.

This product can be washed at home. Please use a laundry net when washing. Due to the nature of the material, it may shrink slightly, so please reshape and air dry after washing.

Please avoid tumble drying at home.
