Garage, a Kyoto-based gauze clothing workshop, started with a love for crafting, a passion for clothes, and the joy of creating things from scratch with their own hands. Tatsuya and Yoko Nakanishi handle everything from design and pattern making to sewing and dyeing.
Garage's gauze clothing, born from their belief in doing as much as possible with their own hands, brings a gentle and peaceful feeling to those who wear it.

By creating stripes with gauze material, it achieves a unique and distinctive look.

The material has a great texture, making it perfect for pairing with simple tops, adding accessories like necklaces, and of course, for layering.

Double gauze is an excellent fabric with moderate breathability and heat retention, making it suitable for all seasons. Historically used in baby clothes, it's one of the softest fabrics against the skin.

A distinctive feature of Garage's gauze clothing is that this double gauze fabric is cut on the bias (diagonally).
While bias cutting is not efficient in terms of fabric usage, it creates excellent stretch in both vertical and horizontal directions, allowing the garment to gradually conform to the wearer's body shape. It's sometimes referred to as "healing clothing."
