Garage, a gauze clothing workshop in Kyoto, started with the idea of loving craftsmanship, loving clothes, and loving creating things from scratch with one's own hands. Husband and wife Tatsuya and Yoko Nakanishi handle everything from design, patterns, sewing, and dyeing.

One of the characteristics of Garage's clothing production is the use of double gauze fabric on the bias (diagonally). Normally, fabric for clothes is used according to the warp and weft of the weave, but using it on the bias creates elasticity in both the length and width.

The simple design incorporates ingenuity that fully utilizes the characteristics and texture of double gauze.

Garage's gauze clothes, overflowing with the desire to "do as much as possible with our own hands" when it comes to manufacturing, bring a gentle and calm feeling to the wearer.

A room dress with an original design by Garage. The block check expressed with fluffy cut-offs gives a gentle impression.

Gauze is an excellent fabric with moderate breathability and heat retention, making it suitable for all seasons. It has been used for baby clothes since ancient times and is one of the gentlest fabrics on the skin.

The characteristic of Garage's gauze clothes is that this single gauze fabric is cut on the bias (diagonally).

Although cutting on the bias is not efficient in terms of fabric usage, it creates excellent elasticity in both the warp and weft directions, and the garment gradually molds to the wearer's body over time.
