Garage, a Kyoto-based gauze clothing studio, started from a love of crafting, a love of clothes, and a love of creating things from scratch with their own hands. Husband and wife Tatsuya and Yoko Nakanishi handle everything from design and pattern making to sewing and dyeing.

One of the characteristics of Garage's clothing is the use of double gauze fabric cut on the bias (diagonally). Typically, clothing fabric is used according to the warp and weft of the weave, but cutting on the bias creates elasticity in both directions. This allows the simple designs to fully utilize the characteristics and texture of double gauze.

Garage's gauze clothing, born from their desire to "do as much as possible ourselves with our own hands," gently brings peace and comfort to those who wear it.

This is a simple long-sleeved T-shirt made from two layers of double gauze.

The naturally open round neck features a raw-cut design, adding a stylish touch to a simple T-shirt.

The very pleasant-to-the-touch double gauze material is soft and comfortable to wear, and is recommended for those with sensitive skin.

Double gauze is an excellent fabric with moderate breathability and heat retention, making it suitable for all seasons. It has long been used for baby clothes and is one of the softest fabrics to the touch.

A distinctive feature of Garage's gauze clothing is the use of double gauze fabric cut on the bias (diagonally). While cutting on the bias is not efficient in terms of fabric usage, it creates excellent elasticity in both vertical and horizontal directions, allowing the garment to gradually conform to the wearer's body shape over time.

The natural wrinkled texture, as if freshly washed, is a unique characteristic of Garage. It's so comfortable you'll want to wear it every day, with a soft and fluffy feel.

Its simple design makes it easy to style. In spring and autumn, wear it with light innerwear like camisoles or cut-and-sew tops for a refreshing look.

In winter, wearing it under a sweater will increase warmth, and even if you sweat from heating, the breathable gauze will keep your skin feeling fresh and dry.

You can choose from a wide range of colors. We recommend choosing colors to match the season, such as pastels for spring and earth tones for autumn.

*Each item is product-dyed individually. Dyeing is a very delicate process, and the finished color can vary significantly depending on the climate, room temperature, and dye lot.

Garage's gauze clothing is product-dyed (dyed after sewing) one by one. Therefore, the dye color may vary slightly between individual items.
