Mr. Masaaki Watanabe of Watanabe Koubou is a watchmaker who makes watches one by one by hand at his workshop in downtown Tokyo. We have worked on many watch works that are full of warmth and a tasteful expression unique to handmade.

Mr. Watanabe does everything by hand, from making watch parts such as cases, dials, and belts to assembling them. There is a wide variety of products, from simple designs that can be used for both casual and business purposes, to unique models that incorporate originality and ingenuity. Watches created through a very time-consuming process give warmth and healing that ready-made products do not have.

For the material of the case, we use materials such as brass and silver that can be enjoyed over time. The leather belt is made of genuine leather that is thick yet fits well, giving it a sense of quality and presence. With the flow of time, you will grow attached to it - it is overflowing with such warmth.


Simple and easy-to-read large Roman numerals are fashionable.
Since each piece is made by hand, the expression will be slightly different depending on the piece.

Watanabe Koubou has released “SUN & MOON”, a plate with the sun and moon drawn on it that changes over time!

The case model is jumbo brass, and the dial is large and easy to see with a diameter of about 36 mm. Although it is simple, the moment you see it, you will be attracted by its antique design that leaves an impression.

The tips of the hour, minute, and second hands are fluorescent, so you can check the time even in dark places, making it not only stylish but also practical.


The fact that the needle is easy to see is also a pleasing point.

The back cover is stainless steel.


It is a SUN & MOON specification where the moon and the sun are replaced with time.


The sun rises during the day, and the crescent moon appears at night.


At exactly 12 o'clock in both the day and night, the sun and moon rise to their respective central positions.

When the sun or moon cannot be seen, the rays of light emitted from the stars and the sun create an atmosphere that changes from night to morning and from noon to night.

What time is it? …When you look at the watch, you can see how the watch changes its expression each time, and you can enjoy the leisurely flow of time together with the watch.



The belt material is made of cowhide with a good texture and is thick and sturdy.
It has much more durability and quality than the leather belt of a common watch.
