Koryo-cho in Nara Prefecture is known as the "town of socks," accounting for approximately 40% of the socks produced in Japan.

In recent years, the proportion of imported goods from overseas has been increasing even in the sock industry. Feeling a sense of crisis about this situation, a group of volunteers from textile-related companies in Koryo-cho established the brand "ORGANIC GARDEN" in 1994.

As the brand name suggests, Organic Garden items use organic cotton (organically grown cotton) as their main material.

Organic cotton is cotton that is grown on land that has not been sprayed with chemical fertilizers or pesticides for over three years, and has not been subjected to any chemical treatments such as bleaching or shrinkage prevention. Since it does not contain any chemical substances, it is gentle on the skin and feels softer than chemically treated cotton.

The single elastic design provides a soft feel without any tightness. Wrapped in natural organic cotton and yak materials.

About Yak Hair, a Luxury Natural Fiber

Yaks live in high altitude areas, around 3,500 to 4,500 meters, mainly on the Tibetan Plateau.

This type of cattle is native to the highlands of Tibet and is now raised as livestock in Western Asia and other places. In addition to being used for labor, their wool, meat, and milk are highly valuable, making them an indispensable livestock for the local people.

Yaks' long, thick hair protects them from snow, and their abundant down has a glossy, soft texture, a slimy feel, elasticity, and high heat retention, making them one of the finest natural fibers.
