Established in January 2016, waji Inc. is a professional manufacturing group that brings together veteran craftsmen and young designers. The company got started when representative Hiroki Kanno, who loves antique doors, and Rui Sekine, who used to work at a glass processing factory, met.

Based on the havito brand concept of "unexpected manufacturing," Kanno and Sekine established the "glart" series, which combines real glass and leather - something they had always wanted to create.

"I want to create an antique door that can be carried around with you."

This antique door style wallet was created with that idea in mind.

The size and texture make it easy to carry around without excessive decoration.
It is about 2.5cm thick and fits comfortably in a woman's hand.

The stained glass look on the door is recreated using custom reinforced glass design.
This glass is light and strong, and took two years to develop.

The glass was developed in collaboration with Tomi Glass, a glass manufacturer in downtown Tokyo.

This glass is a lightweight, durable, reinforced design glass that took two years to develop. It combines several types of core materials to create a realistic look. Special reinforcement processing technology ensures safety.

The color and texture are similar to vintage stained glass. Made with carefully selected leather.

This product is part of the "glart" series, which combines stained-glass-style tempered glass with leather. "Glart" is a coined word that combines glass and art.

The number of parts and the work required to make this wallet are twice as long as a regular wallet, and even the sewing machine had to be modified just to make this product.

Sewing glass and leather together requires advanced skills, and only a limited number of Waji's craftsmen can complete the process.

The leather used is tanned cowhide, which becomes more lustrous with use and develops an antique look.
