garage, a gauze clothing workshop in Kyoto, was started by a couple who love making things, love clothes, and love creating things from scratch with their own hands. From design and pattern making to sewing and dyeing, Mr. Tatsuya Nakanishi and his wife Yoko handle everything consistently.

One of the characteristics of garage's clothing production is the use of double gauze fabric on the bias (diagonally). Usually, clothing fabric is used according to the warp and weft of the weave, but by using it on the bias, it gains elasticity in both directions.

Simple designs are infused with ideas that fully utilize the characteristics and texture of double gauze.

Although cutting on the bias is not efficient in terms of fabric usage, it creates excellent elasticity in both directions, allowing the garment to gradually conform to the wearer's body shape over time.
