Garage, a Kyoto-based gauze clothing workshop, started with the passion for crafting, loving clothes, and creating things from scratch with their own hands. Tatsuya Nakanishi and his wife Yoko consistently handle everything from design, pattern, sewing, to dyeing.

One of the characteristics of Garage's clothing is the use of bias-cut double gauze fabric. Usually, fabric for clothing is used along the warp and weft threads, but by cutting on the bias, elasticity is created in both directions.

While the designs are simple, they are thoughtfully crafted to fully utilize the unique properties and texture of double gauze.

This long cardigan features the lightness unique to gauze fabric and a soft, fluffy texture.

The natural wrinkled look, as if just washed, is a distinctive feature of Garage's style, creating the soft texture of "cotton" itself.

Although simple, it exudes an elegant and mature impression.

Can be worn casually with buttons open.

This piece can be worn casually, taking advantage of its familiar fabric feel. It is suitable for both men and women.

A unique feature of Garage's gauze clothing is the use of bias-cut (diagonal cut) single gauze fabric.

While bias cutting is not efficient in terms of fabric usage, it creates excellent elasticity in both vertical and horizontal directions, allowing the garment to gradually conform to the wearer's body shape over time.

Garage's gauze clothing is product-dyed (dyed after sewing) one by one. Therefore, the dye color may vary slightly for each individual item.
