Garage, a gauze clothing workshop in Kyoto, started with a passion for crafting, for clothing, and for creating things from scratch. All aspects, from design and pattern making to sewing and dyeing, are handled consistently by the husband and wife duo, Tatsuya and Yoko Nakanishi.

Garage's gauze clothing, born from their philosophy of "doing as much as possible ourselves with our own hands," brings a gentle and peaceful feeling to those who wear it.

This is an original Garage T-shirt featuring fluffy gauze tape on the chest.
The natural wrinkled texture, as if freshly laundered, is also characteristic of Garage, creating a relaxed impression.

While offering unpretentious simplicity, the gentle feel of the gauze material combined with a touch of charm creates an item infused with a wonderful ambiance.

Made from 100% natural cotton gauze fabric, it offers excellent absorbency and lightness. Its pleasant feel against the skin and the way it becomes even softer with each wash are also appealing attributes.

A simple round neck made of double-layered gauze. It offers a soft and comfortable feel, recommended for those with sensitive skin.

Model is a 170cm female wearing size M (color: white).

At Garage, a significant amount of fabric scraps are generated due to the luxurious use of fabric through bias cutting.
As a way to avoid wasting these scraps, they are incorporated into designs for necklines and ruffles.

Increased stretch! About bias-cut gauze

Gauze is an excellent fabric with moderate breathability and heat retention, making it suitable for all seasons. It has long been used for baby clothes and is one of the softest fabrics against the skin.

A unique feature of Garage's gauze clothing is that this single gauze fabric is cut on the bias (diagonally).

While bias cutting is not efficient in terms of fabric use, it creates excellent stretch both horizontally and vertically, allowing the garment to gradually conform to your body shape as you wear it.

You can choose from 32 colors. We recommend choosing colors according to the season, such as pastels for spring and earth tones for autumn.

* Each item is product-dyed. Dyeing is a very delicate process, and the finished color can vary significantly depending on the climate, room temperature, and dye lot.

Garage's gauze clothing is garment-dyed (dyed after sewing) one by one. Therefore, the dye color may vary slightly between individual products.
