Garage, a gauze clothing workshop in Kyoto, started with a passion for craftsmanship, a love for clothes, and a desire to create something from scratch with their own hands. Tatsuya and Yoko Nakanishi handle everything from design and pattern making to sewing and dyeing.

One of the characteristics of Garage's clothing is the bias-cut (diagonal cut) double gauze fabric. Typically, fabric for clothing is used according to the warp and weft of the weave, but using a bias cut creates elasticity in both the vertical and horizontal directions.

The simple designs incorporate ingenious ways to fully utilize the characteristics and texture of double gauze.

This is a lightweight and warm four-layer gauze shirt, made by layering two double gauze fabrics.

The distinctive feature of Garage's gauze clothing is that it uses a bias cut (diagonal cut) for the single gauze fabric.

Although a bias cut is not efficient in terms of fabric usage, it creates excellent elasticity in both the vertical and horizontal directions, allowing the garment to gradually conform to the wearer's body shape over time.

These products are generally made to order, and depending on the order status, it may take approximately 3 weeks to 2 months for delivery. (If it will take longer than that, we will inform you of the new delivery date.)

Garage's gauze garments are individually garment-dyed (dyed after sewing). Therefore, the dye color may vary slightly between individual products.
