SAIFUKU is a knitwear brand from Gosen City, Niigata Prefecture, that wraps people and their lives in delightful ingenuity. With the concept of "snow country knit," the brand creates knit items inspired by the nature and lifestyle of Niigata's snowy region. Taking the beauty of Niigata's nature as the starting point of their designs, they translate the wisdom born from the harsh snowy environment into knitwear.

SAIFUKU is created by Saifuku, a knitwear-specialized manufacturer based in Gosen City, Niigata Prefecture, that has been crafting products since 1963. Gosen City is blessed with abundant, high-quality water, and flourished as a silk weaving center from the mid-Edo period. After the war, it developed into a major hub for the knitwear industry. The company uses its name as a brand, and continues to hone its knitwear techniques and ideas, along with the know-how passed down through generations in the region.

The "226" (meaning "to wrap") series, with the concept of "wrapping people and their lives in knitwear for a comfortable and humorous daily life," is a series that playfully wraps not only the body but also everyday items in knitwear.

We have a collection of fun and creative knit items, including "fake layering" haramaki (waist warmers) that give the illusion of layering, spray can covers that stylishly conceal bold spray designs, wrist warmers that can be peeked out from the cuffs as accent colors, and knit faux collars that warmly wrap around the neck.

The piece features a luxurious, three-dimensional Aran pattern, perfect for autumn and winter, adorning the front, back, and even the sleeves.
The Aran pattern, rooted in Irish fisherman's sweaters, is a traditional knit pattern. The diamond pattern symbolizes "abundance" and "success," the rope pattern (cable pattern) symbolizes "bonds" and "strength," and the honeycomb pattern is said to symbolize "diligence" and "good fortune." The shadows created by the unevenness of each pattern create a warm expression.

● When washing, please specify dry cleaning at the dry cleaning store.
● If pilling occurs, do not forcibly pull it off. Instead, use scissors or a lint remover to cut it off, being careful not to damage the knit fabric. ● When ironing, use a cloth to cover the garment.
