"NARU FACTORY" is a factory brand created by Minamide Meriyas Co., Ltd., which has its own factory in Izumiotsu City, Osaka. The brand's concept is "clothing that enriches the soul."

The Senshu region, including Izumi-Otsu City, developed as a cotton-growing and cotton textile production area during the Edo period, and as a major textile production area for spinning, towels, blankets, and other products since the Meiji era. Founded in 1953, Minamide Meriyasu-san is based on the spirit and technology of Senshu, which "supports people's lives by staying close to yarn and fabric." They create clothes that are loved across generations by carrying out everything from material selection to design, cutting, knitting, sewing, and finishing in their own factory.

The "NARU" in the brand name comes from the Japanese kanji character "成" (narū). The word "成" has the meaning of "things being achieved naturally" and "creating connections."
