Kobo Orizu, a workshop that creates original scarves and mufflers using traditional looms, is located deep in the mountains of Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture, facing the Seto Inland Sea, in a lush, green area blessed with nature where time flows slowly.

Kobo Oiza's old-fashioned looms are an innovation that creates comfortable fashion products that are popular with people of all ages and genders.

Items created using traditional techniques blend seamlessly into modern fashion. Just as threads intertwine, people and tradition intertwine... The products created by Kobo Orizu seem to be a bridge connecting the past and present.

Seven types of twill weaves are used to create a gradation, with lines that appear and disappear used as accent colors. The design is finished with a three-dimensional appearance despite being flat.

綾織 (twill weave) is a fabric structure with diagonal patterns created by continuously raising and lowering two or more warp or weft threads. It is characterized by its lustrous appearance, suppleness, and resistance to wrinkles.
