"Havana" is a leather made by BADARASSI Carlo in Florence, Italy, using the traditional "Vacchetta" method, in which vegetable tanned cowhide is slowly soaked in oil. It is made by recreating a classic recipe that has been handed down since the 18th century, when leather was made to be used for furniture, tools, and clothing. No effort is spared, resulting in a striking finish that retains the original strength and expression of leather, and the appearance changes clearly as you use it, making it a leather that you will grow to love. Havana leather is a thin leather, just under 2mm thick, so the back of the belt is made of two layers of leather, with a layer of skin-friendly lacette-tanned pigskin sewn on top. The leather is characterized by its uneven grain. The color of the raised areas is darker. The leather has a calm look and a slight sheen. |

"Doraro" is made by embossing and processing the Buttero leather of the Italian company Walpier. Walpier is most famous for its Buttero leather, and "Doraro" is made by using Buttero leather as a base, embossing it with a grained texture, and then processing it further. Embossing not only gives the leather a rough texture, it also makes the surface somewhat harder and firmer, making it less prone to scratches. Furthermore, applying a little more heat will create a more shaded appearance, and even though it is tanned leather, the absorption of small amounts of water will be slower and stronger. As you use it, the luster will improve and the color will change, so you can enjoy the aging process. |
