graphzero is a denim brand by artisans from Kurashiki Kojima, a city known as one of Japan's leading producers of jeans.

Based on the workwear of US Navy construction battalions from the 1940s, graphzero created an original design.

"Seabees" is the nickname for the United States Navy Construction Battalions (C.B.s). The name derives from their industriousness, like bees, and means "sea bees."

Originally, these were cold-weather work clothes with a wool lining, but we have finished them in light-ounce denim so they can be worn all year round.

This "Woodland pattern" is synonymous with military camouflage. Its official name is "U.S. Woodland," or "M81 Woodland" after the year it was adopted.

It was officially adopted as the standard combat uniform (BDU: Battle Dress Uniform) by the US military in 1981 and was widely used by all branches of the US military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps).

Denim fabric has a unique unevenness (slub yarn weave), but as it is worn and washed, the pigment on the raised parts of the fabric is rubbed off more strongly, gradually creating a texture where the denim's material qualities emerge as it ages.

While retaining the vintage atmosphere of that era, it has been elevated into a piece that can be enjoyed as modern daily wear.
