waji Inc., founded in January 2016, is a group of manufacturing professionals, from veteran craftsmen to young designers. It was started when Yuki Kanno, the representative who loves "antique doors," and Rui Sekine, who came from a "glass processing plant," met.

Under the brand concept of "unexpected craftsmanship," waji established the "glart" series, a fusion of real glass and leather, which Kanno and Sekine had always wanted to create.

The series offers items that are easy to use every day as "portable art objects."

There is an opening/closing button around the doorknob. (The doorknob is a decoration. Please place your finger on the button when opening/closing.)

The "glart" series combines stained-glass-style tempered glass with leather. "glart" is a coined word combining "glass" and "art."

It takes twice as many parts and processes as a regular wallet, and even the sewing machine was modified just to make this product. Attaching glass and leather requires advanced techniques, and only a limited number of waji's skilled artisans can finish it.

The leather used is vegetable-tanned and chrome-tanned cowhide.

Waxes used for harness are carefully applied by artisans one by one to finish it. The unevenness from manual work and the natural characteristics of leather (blood vessels, wrinkles, moles, etc.) are attractive, and it has a unique firmness. Of course, it is a leather that you can enjoy as it ages.

The glass was co-developed with "Tomi Glass," a long-established glass manufacturer in downtown Tokyo.

It is lightweight and durable tempered glass, and it took two years to develop. The glass used undergoes special processing at a factory that processes car headlights, etc., ensuring its strength.

A combination of several types of core materials expresses the realism of an antique door. Safety is ensured by special strengthening processing technology.

The main pocket can hold approximately 20 business cards as stock. It can hold approximately 12 thick point cards.


The inner lining of the gusseted pocket is made of smooth suede-like fabric.


A total of approximately 15 necessary cards can be stored. If you want to store bills, they can be stored tri-folded.

Avoid storing in places with high temperature and humidity or direct sunlight. If it gets wet, wipe off the moisture with a soft cloth and dry it in the shade. Do not wash it completely with water or hot water.
