"Re-ACT LEATHER WORKS" is a brand created by designer Mitsutoshi Nakayama. The brand does not have a specific theme, but instead focuses on leather items such as leather wallets, small leather goods, and bags, and offers a wide range of products with free and natural designs that can be enjoyed in different moods and situations.

After working in planning and sales for an apparel brand, Mitsutoshi Nakayama went independent and launched "Re-ACT LEATHER WORKS." The brand name "Re-ACT" means "to react to stimuli," and was chosen because Nakayama wanted to reflect the inspiration he has received from travel, vintage items such as used clothing, and culture in his creations.

"Re-ACT" leather items are made from carefully selected materials from both Japan and overseas, such as "indigo-dyed leather," which is made by dyeing domestic full-tanned tanro leather (a type of leather that has been processed to make it easier to dye) with natural Yamato indigo. Furthermore, at its factory in Japan, which was founded in 1974, the company makes use of the manufacturing methods, know-how, and craftsmanship spirit it has accumulated since its founding to produce leather items that can be used for a long time.

Domestically produced, full-tanned tanro leather is dyed in Yamato indigo dye.
As you use it, the gloss will increase and it will age to a deep indigo color.


The inner leather is "Pecos Hard" from Italy.
The texture of the dye finish with plenty of oil is attractive.


The snap buttons are made by Fiocchi from Italy.
It is durable and easy to open and close, and is used in high-end brand bags and wallets in Europe.
The money clip is a luxurious gold color.

Domestically tanned leather is soaked in Yamato indigo dye for 15 minutes and then exposed to air, causing it to turn indigo blue. This process is repeated many times until the leather is dyed to its natural indigo color.
The finish is given a glossy finish by applying a special oil that maintains its luster.

This is a masterpiece that allows you to enjoy the unique texture and deep changes that occur over time that are unique to indigo dyeing.

The inner leather is Italian "Pecos Hard".
Made from only the shoulder part of carefully selected European hides, the leather is vegetable tanned using the Vacchetta method, resulting in a soft and durable leather.
The texture of the oil-infused dye finish (with the marks and scratches that are unique to leather) creates a warmth and durability that cannot be imitated, and the more you use it, the more unique the character it develops.

It has a simple design where you just fasten the bills with a clip (movable).
It holds the sheets securely, so even one sheet won't fall out. Up to 10 sheets can be stored.
You can store bills in the pocket on the right side to keep them organized.


The coin pocket has a large gusset, so it has ample capacity and is easy to access.
There is also a card holder on the lid of the coin pocket, so you can conveniently touch your IC card directly.

Because we use natural leather, there may be animal-specific scars, wrinkles, and blood vessel marks (blood streaks) on the surface of the leather. Even if dyed with the same dye, there will be individual differences in color. Please understand that these are characteristics of natural leather and the individuality of each piece.

Leather is vulnerable to rain and sweat, so if it gets wet, allow it to dry naturally. Using it while wet can cause discoloration, color transfer, and mold. Remove the contents and dry it thoroughly in a well-ventilated area. Once it dries, the leather will lose its oils, so apply a thin layer of colorless oil such as mink oil after it has dried.

In order to maximize the natural texture of the material, indigo dyed products are not dyed or color-fixed more than necessary, so changes such as discoloration may occur due to exposure to water or friction. Please understand that the uneven grain, wrinkles, and shades inherent to leather are proof that it is a natural material.
