"Tezomeya" is a dyeing studio in Kyoto that pursues dyeing with natural dyes. All of these "hand-dyed, tie-dyed, and tied organic T-shirts" are first plain-dyed with natural dyes such as madder, pomegranate, cornflower, and gallnut, and then over-dyed with indigo using techniques such as tie-dyeing and tying, resulting in complex yet gentle colors and patterns. Also, depending on the dye used for the under-dye, the indigo color of the over-dye changes subtly, creating a rich natural color variation that is also appealing!

In addition, all of the T-shirts at Hand-dyed Meya are original, from the materials to the detailed designs, patterns, and sewing! The yarn is made from "fox fiber," an organic cotton that goes extremely well with natural dyes. The fabric is specially made to order using a rare "hanging knitting machine" that can knit softly without tensioning the yarn, making it a "hanging jersey" fabric that doesn't wear out easily even with long use.

This is a unique and cute T-shirt with a motif of the Ohmu, a creature that appears in "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" (the film version, directed by Hayao Miyazaki, is more famous), which Aoki, the owner of Hand-dyed Meya, says is "one of the books that has had a major influence on my life."

This cute design, with lots of little circles lined up, was achieved by squeezing 24 film cases. The "Touken Ranbu x Indigo" version shown on the example looks like the "attack color" of the eyes of the Ohmu from "Nausicaa" (please see the original manga or the movie for more details), so this humorous product name was chosen! You can certainly see it...☆The missing circle on the bottom right is also a fun design♪

Of course, it goes well with standard bottoms such as denim or khaki pants, but you can also enjoy natural and cute coordination by matching it with a fluffy cotton skirt or linen bottoms as shown in the wearing example! In addition, the color of the tie-dye part will be the accent color of the whole, so it will create a gorgeous atmosphere!

The material, silhouette, and sewing of the T-shirts are all originals made by "Tesomemeya"! Of course, they are made in Japan.

The yarn is made from American organic cotton called "Fox Fiber." Fox Fiber is hardly ever degreased or bleached, and contains a lot of "impurities" such as natural wax. However, when dyed with natural dyes, the more impurities there are in the cotton, the deeper and darker the dye will be.

The fabric is made on a knitting machine called a "hanging knitting machine," which was used from the Meiji period until around the 1950s. The production speed of a hanging knitting machine is one-thirtieth of that of the machines that are mainstream today, but because it is possible to knit without applying tension to the thread, it is possible to create a unique fabric called "hanging jersey," which is very soft and does not easily wear out.

The silhouette is cute with small sleeves, slightly dropped shoulders, and slightly tapered sides! The body is knitted into a tubular shape on a loopwheel, and there are no seams at the sides, so it will not lose its shape easily and you can wear it for a long time!
