Kyoto-based gauze clothing workshop garage (Garage) started with the idea of "I love making things, I love clothes, and I love creating things from scratch." Tatsuya and Yoko Nakanishi, a husband and wife team, handle everything from design, pattern making, sewing, and dyeing.

One of the characteristics of garage's clothing making is the bias cut (diagonal use) of double gauze fabric. Usually, fabric for clothes is used according to the warp and weft of the weave, but by using a bias cut, elasticity is created in both the vertical and horizontal directions.

Simple designs incorporate ingenious ways to fully utilize the characteristics and texture of double gauze.
