Graphzero is an artisan denim brand based in Kojima, Kurashiki, known as the leading jeans-producing city in Japan.

Graphzero has just launched a new product: 13oz naturally dyed selvedge denim.

This "gray denim" is woven on an old-fashioned power loom and has not been treated to prevent shrinkage or twisting, nor singed, giving it a vintage feel.

Each strand of thread is hand-dyed in skeins to produce genuine indigo and persimmon tannin.
The warp threads are dyed using natural dyes, and the weft threads are made of unbleached yarn.

By using nep yarn both vertically and horizontally, we have created a fabric that is unique to graphzero, with a rough texture.

The rough, hand-woven texture is also an attractive feature, and the more you wear them, the more you can enjoy the changes in color fading that are unique to skein dyeing, which is different from rope dyeing.

The pattern and details are based on the five-pocket pants that existed in the 1940s during the war.

In addition, cotton thread is used for the sewing, including the hidden bar fastenings and rivets, so you can enjoy the changes that occur over time.
Although it is less strong than polyester thread, it blends well with denim and creates a more refined look.

The patch is made of cowhide leather with original black foil.
These patches are made with passion and the skill of experienced craftsmen and young people.
The denim is engraved with "THE ONE AND ONLY TEXTILE" and "JAPAN PRIDE" as proof of its quality, which is a testament to the tradition of technology that will be passed down for the future, the relationship between artisans and threads that go into creating denim, and the attention to detail that graphzero is proud of.
