Based on the brand concept of "unexpected manufacturing," havito established the "glart" series, which combines real glass and leather.

Established in January 2016, waji Inc. is a professional manufacturing group that brings together veteran craftsmen and young designers. The company got started when representative Hiroki Kanno, who loves antique doors, and Rui Sekine, who used to work at a glass processing factory, met.

Waji started out by making scissor bags worn around the waist by hairdressers and groomers. Under the brand name "aruci," they not only sell bags, but also semi-custom made aprons and bags. They train artisans at Oriza, a workshop converted from an old house in Osaka, and under the brand "ulazan," they have developed a number of unique wallets and bags, taking on the challenge of "can experienced artisans bring to life designs by young people?" Each item is unique and unlike anything else on the market.

While sticking to their core craftsmanship, Waji's hottest brand was born. Its name is "havito." Based on the concept of "unexpected craftsmanship," something that Kanno and Sekine had always wanted to create, they established their signature series, "glart," which combines real glass and leather. "We want to create an antique door that you can carry around with you." "So let's make a wallet that looks like a real door using glass"...!

This company and brand was born from the meeting of two passionate people. In addition to the leather and glass items of "glart," they are releasing a series of new products, including canvas bags and wallets, and in spring 2021, asymmetrical tote bags and portable backpacks. We will continue to keep an eye on the "manufacturing" that Waji is involved in.
