The yarn that marks the beginning of Kepani is popular as a pioneer in vintage and recycling: raffia yarn.
At a long-established textile factory in Osaka, it is spun together with long-staple Torfan cotton and short-fiber Giza American cotton waste, resulting in a soft yarn with a natural, uneven texture.

The raffia yarn born in Osaka is knitted into sweatshirt fabric in Wakayama, one of Japan's leading knitwear production areas. The sinker knitting machines are finely adjusted to reproduce a texture close to that of fabric knitted on traditional loop knitting machines. The sweatshirt fabric, knitted with a relaxed yet precise weave, is highly flexible and stretchy, making it difficult to lose its shape.

The sweatshirt fabric knitted in Wakayama undergoes brushed-back processing on the inside of the fabric at a processing factory in Mie.
