| Koryo-cho in Nara Prefecture is known as the "town of socks," accounting for about 40% of the socks produced in Japan. In recent years, the proportion of socks imported from overseas has been increasing in the sock industry. Feeling a sense of crisis about this situation, volunteers from textile-related companies in Koryo-cho established the brand "ORGANIC GARDEN" in 1994. As the brand name suggests, Organic Garden's items are primarily made from organic cotton. Organic cotton is cotton that is grown on land that has not been sprayed with chemical fertilizers or pesticides for over three years, and has not been subjected to any chemical processing such as bleaching or shrinkage prevention. As it does not contain chemical substances, it is gentle on the skin and feels softer than chemically treated cotton. |

| These socks are made from 100% organic cotton and are refreshing to wear! You can choose from four colors: "Natural", which is the natural color of organic cotton; "Brown Cotton", which is the natural color of organic brown cotton; and "Earth Red" and "Earth Gray", which are dyed using the ancient dyeing method "Hanizome". "Earth Red" is dyed with the pink color created from the brown soil of Ayers Rock in Australia, and "Earth Gray" is dyed with the gray color created from the volcanic ash of Bali! These socks are dyed with special care, allowing you to enjoy the natural colors. |

■ Hanizome is an ancient dyeing technique that has been revived in modern times. It involves refining vivid red and yellow natural earth and fixing it to the fiber structure without using any mordants. Impurities are removed from carefully selected soil, it is sterilized, and then it is further refined to become dyes. Therefore, it does not contain any harmful substances. Another major feature is that it hardly fades in sunlight, unlike "plant dyeing" which fades in sunlight. |
