"SAIFUKU" is the brand of Saifuku, a knitwear manufacturer based in Gosen City, Niigata Prefecture, which has been producing products exclusively since 1963. Blessed with abundant, high-quality water, Gosen City has flourished as a silk textile production center since the mid-Edo period, and after the war developed into a major center for the knitwear industry. Using the company name as a brand, the company continues to hone its knitwear techniques and ideas, along with the know-how that has been passed down in the production area.

Saifuku's "mino" (Mino) series is inspired by the "mino" raincoat worn in winter in snowy regions, and is centered around ponchos. The "mino" ponchos come in a wide variety of styles, including wrap-around and pull-over styles, as well as styles that can be worn around the neck and are reversible. The materials used include wool, cotton, linen, and washi paper. By utilizing the unique characteristics of various yarn materials, the charm and possibilities of knitwear can be endlessly expanded by combining them, using knitting techniques, and creating patterns.

We offer knitwear that lets you experience the four seasons of Niigata: spring, when fields and flowers bloom as the snow melts, summer, when the Echigo Plain boasts lush rural scenery, autumn, when you can enjoy the autumn leaves and harvest, and winter, when snow falls thickly.
