Connecting the tradition of Wakayama to the future – tools made from palm fibers for daily life.
"Broom Craft" is a brand established in 2020 by Shinkai Sangyo, a company that has been manufacturing palm fiber ropes in Kainan City, Wakayama Prefecture for many years, with the aim of passing down their inherited techniques to the future.
While cherishing traditional natural materials, artisans meticulously craft each tool to seamlessly integrate into modern lifestyles.
This trivet is handcrafted by carefully wrapping palm fiber rope around a wooden core, resulting in a simple yet sturdy construction. It features the deep color unique to natural materials and a plump, donut-like shape.
It's perfect for carrying earthen pots, small pots, kettles, teapots, and other items directly to the dining table. When not in use, it can be hung on a hook for storage, blending naturally into your kitchen decor even when left out.
This trivet is a true reflection of Broom Craft's style, both practical and aesthetically pleasing in your everyday surroundings.
| Whether placed or hung, these palm fiber tools blend into your life. Available in three sizes: large, medium, and small, to suit your lifestyle. |

Palm fiber is a natural material that is relatively resistant to discoloration from heat and boasts excellent durability.
By tightly wrapping palm fiber rope around a wooden core, we achieve an ideal thickness and sturdiness.

A thick, donut-shaped trivet meticulously crafted by wrapping palm fiber rope.
Its donut shape, with a hollow center, makes it easy to cradle the outer circumference of a pot's bottom.
It's designed to stably accommodate not only flat-bottomed pots but also round-bottomed earthen pots, fitting snugly within the ring and preventing wobbling.
Furthermore, the hollow center is a unique advantage of the donut shape, as it prevents the entire pot bottom from making direct contact, which in turn reduces the buildup of heat and moisture.
Another welcome feature is its ability to cushion against scratches and contact noise that can occur when placing hard pots directly on a table.

Available in three sizes: small, medium, and large.

For various cooking tools such as earthen pots, small pots, kettles, and frying pans.
Available in three sizes—small, medium, and large—to choose from according to your needs and the tools you use.
The small size is approximately 18cm in diameter, the medium size is about 20cm, and the large size is about 24cm.
The small size is suitable for teapots and smaller kettles. The medium size is a good fit for small pots and everyday cooking utensils, while the large size is recommended for earthen pots, larger pots, and frying pans.
Since you can choose the size according to the tools you use, you can switch between them depending on the dining table or cooking situation.

When not in use, simply hang it up for storage.
Its appearance naturally blends in even when left out in the kitchen.
The trivet comes with a loop for hanging.
When you're done using it, simply hang it on a hook in an easily accessible spot. This allows you to utilize kitchen wall space for tidy storage without taking up drawer space.
Its rustic charm, typical of natural materials, adds a subtle accent to your kitchen even when not in use.

| Durable palm fiber with a natural texture. |

Durable and naturally textured palm fibers.
Palm fiber (shuro) comes from a species of palm tree that grows in warm regions.
The fibrous bark covering its trunk is durable and has long been used as a material for various daily tools such as ropes, scrub brushes, and brooms.
The palm fiber industry has long flourished in Wakayama, with "shurogawa" (palm fiber bark) being listed as a product in the "Kii no Kuni Meisho Zue" (Illustrated Guide to Famous Places in Kii Province) published in 1851.
Palm fiber is durable and relatively resistant to heat discoloration. It is a suitable material for tools that are used repeatedly every day, such as trivets.
The unique expression of each individual fiber and the deep, natural brown color are also characteristic of natural materials.
We have crafted palm fiber, which has been used in daily life for centuries, into a trivet that can be easily incorporated into modern dining tables.

As natural palm fiber is used and each item is handcrafted by artisans, there may be slight individual differences in color, fiber texture, shape, and size. Please understand that these are characteristics of natural materials and handmade products.
Since natural materials are used, some fiber dust may appear when first used, but this will gradually settle with continued use.
Please choose a size that allows your pot or cooking utensil to sit stably. If the base of your pot is significantly smaller than the trivet, please check for stability before use.
As this is a natural material, if it gets wet, please dry it thoroughly before storing. Also, do not use or store it near open flames or direct heat.
