"RE.ACT LEATHER WORKS" is a brand created by designer Mitsutoshi Nakayama. The brand does not have a specific theme, but instead offers a wide range of products with free and natural designs that can be enjoyed with different moods and situations, focusing on leather items such as leather wallets, leather accessories, and bags.

After working in planning and sales at an apparel brand, Mitsutoshi Nakayama went independent and launched "RE.ACT LEATHER WORKS." The brand name "RE.ACT" means "to react to stimuli," and was chosen because he wanted to reflect the stimuli he has received from travel, vintage items such as used clothing, and culture in his manufacturing.

The "Re-ACT" series uses carefully selected materials from both Japan and overseas, such as Chromexcel leather from a long-established American company, artistic shoulder leather with a waxed silver surface from Italy, and domestic pigskin suede. In addition, at our domestic factory founded in 1974, we make use of the manufacturing methods, know-how, and craftsmanship spirit that we have accumulated since our founding to produce leather items that can be used for a long time.

Horween's Aniline Chromexcel leather is said to be a well-known name in the leather industry.

Horween was founded in Chicago, USA in 1905 and is a long-established company with over 100 years of history. They produce leathers such as cordovan that are used by many brands. One of the famous leathers they produce is the "Chrome Excel" oil leather used in this product.

This is a thick pull-up leather made by slowly tanning the raw hides using a method developed about 100 years ago, then coating them with a special oil made from a blend of more than four types of oils, including beef tallow, beeswax, vegetable fat, and fish oil, which is then allowed to fully penetrate the leather.

This leather is finished by slowly soaking it in oil over a period of several times longer than usual, which gives it a high oil content and its unique texture and weight, as well as the appealing flavor of brown-core leather.
