Cloth and wood grains are made to swim in a steaming pot Madder and pomegranate, and cloth and wood grains are made to swim in a steaming pot, and are dyed in natural colors by the hands of vegetable dye artist Haruka Nomura. There are various types of bags, from small wooden beads to reliable and sturdy bags.

The reason why Mr. Nomura started making things with vegetable dyeing was when he met Mr. Masaaki Aoki, a hand-dyeing shop who handles our products.

Mr. Aoki learned about vegetable dyeing when he was working as a part-time lecturer in the dyeing and weaving textile course at Kyoto University of Art and Design. At the craft cafe, I was introduced to it by a hand dyeing shop, and started handling it from the early summer of 2012 while I was still in school.

Mr. Nomura talks about the manufacturing of natural dyes as follows.

“When you soak your hands and boil the plant, it gives off a very nice scent. I let the cloth and grains of wood swim in the pot where the steam rises, and let the power of the plant seep in. In my mind, I dyed something a little different from yesterday.I love each one.

Someday, I want to be a creator who can breathe with someone's life, and create something warm that even the fading color will be engraved as a memory. ”

Artist Nomura's thoughts on "colors" born from nature, and the work of giving shape to them. Each and every one of them becomes Nomura's work with a warm and nostalgic atmosphere, traveling with someone, breathing, and growing.
